After a very slow start, where I succeed eating a yogurt and later eat a
couple of toasts I am slowly recovering now at 11 o`clock.
I have had my return flight confirmed on friday. I`m not trying to get
home earlier.
Tomorrow I visit the embassy, so the Summer Palace is postponed till the
day after. And today I`ll walk to the Temple of Heaven, I think.
The "main-building" is so extraordinary that you simply MUST see it. But
I`m disappointed not being able to enter it. The park in which it`s all
in is HUGE and if you walk two minutes away from the "tourist-street"
you can be completely on your own. There I hear the f-eec-bird again.
Now I`ve heard it in all the provinces I`ve visited. I try to get a
glimpse of it and get to underneath the tree in which it is sitting, but
the leaves are impossible to look through and I end up giving up. I`m
still marked by my sickness, but the road back seems shorter because I
walk a little this way and a little that way through some hutong-a-like
areas, that look extremely poor.
